Background

Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth has set up the“Disabled Driver Alliance”more than ten years ago; the objective of the Alliance is to strive for the rights, interests and welfare of disabled drivers. Due to numerous reasons, the Alliance has suspended operation in recently years. Many members of the Federations have opined that the Alliance should be re-organized and re-activated to continue the mission of striving for the rights and interests, rendering services to disabled drivers and promoting the disabled people self-drive trip activities. The new Alliance was re-activated in January 2010, and renamed as “Disabled Driver Club” (DDC) which is a replacement of the Alliance. The Club strives to unite and enhance the participation and belongingness of the members to the Federation.
